@Kiy: That's what I am trying to tell myself for decades now. In the last time I just feel tired, my energy to do anything is practically done. I don't have any strength left for anything (which also leads to me not being able to do anything work-wise). I really dislike it.

Good afternoon

Might be your body and mind catching up with the stressful last two or three years and the lack of sleep... been there like 17 years ago. I was so exhausted it took me almost half a year to do anything else but sleeping.

Bad thing is: I really really really should be writing my thesis and I got nothing up to now and not much time left to at least give a start. It is so annoying it literally paralyses me.

'good' thing is: There was a market for 'manufacturers' (Handwerkermarkt) here today and ... I somewhat got into a light shopping haul - going out wiht a ring made from a fork, soaps, a bag of seasoning (for mom) and a bag made from sails.

Ack... yeah, I know this paralyzed feeling in front of a huge pile of work. It sucks so much :-( It usually helps if someone gives me a kick to the rear and to talk it trough to find out how to somehow split the huge pile into many little helpings, then I can work through little step by step. And once I've started it usually works. Still, it sucks.

Oh, and good morning Someone took all that nice weather from last week and turned into a rainy Sunday. I had to switch on the light on my desk.

Sunday: Going out for election coming back with a 'new' cat.

My mom spotted her already early in the morning, just roaming around aimlessly and when we went back from the election place (3mins walk from home) we saw her again(at least I think it's a she). She was kinda relaxed, but looked like she was looking for something. Young and slithe, black and white. She came when I kneeled down and I could pet her with no problem, even pick her up. So I said to mom she must be form somewhere, she's much too used to humans, but there is no visable ID on her. So I went out of my usual not-doing-anything way and took her home - where she ate 2 cans of food ravenously, telling me she must've been on her own outside for a while already.
Lil' bee is growling and hissing (but that she was also doing before, becuase hse's in her new form of heat) and the little one meows regularly and seemingly wants to head back outside. But I figured it's just too dangerous. We already called the animal orphanage. but they just told us it's sunday and if we could take care at least 'til tomorrow.
I tried to look if there is something on facebook (not logged in) or twitter (never used this, but apparently you can see stuff ffrom the outside), but nothing. So now we can only try and look if someone is looking for a cat outside, but then again - cats can walk quite a distance.
Jeez, what a mess.

Well .... that day eveolved quite differently than expected so far.

I just looked: It's a boy


I already had a feeling - the skull being broader and feeling more .. thick, but if I am not really mistaken it's a boy. That also means it's a really young cat.

Huh - at least the little guy found someone to look out for him. Maybe he escaped from somewhere to go on an adventure and didn't find his way home anymore? If you're lucky he's chipped and you can find the owners that way.

Yeah - I think I'm phoning the vet tomorrow and ask if he's able to read out the chip or something. If not so I will at least put up a poster there and in the supermarket. They I'll see if anyone responds. It's a bit tricky, but I don't know what else to do (and if I can in any possible way I really want ot avoid giving him to the orphanage).

Right now he's sleeping deep soundly between my desk and the radiator (behind the mighty curtains of invisiblity ).

Mom is making some chicken later - I think both 4-pawed will like that.

I have to say it is actually kinda rough to only have 40 cm space to sleep. Murkel (aka the little one) slept right next to my head the whole night and as soon as I started to show sings of 'waking up' he got really cuddly - coming even nearer, purring and all, even despearately wanted to 'wash' my hands.
I can say I never had such a 'cat-experience'. .... .... ow-my back
Queen Bee seems to quite stressed out, but I hold my hopes that she'll cope with it sooner than later.

We'll see how the day goes. Drivign mom to her appointment, going to the vet (if he's there) and .. well ... dunno, I'll see then.

edit@boss: The only dogs we have here are those of the huamns around. We always had little 'wildlife' but since they renovated the quarter there is practically zero.

I remember sleeping on the guest couch somewhere where the people had a very friendly cat too. Said couch usually was his sleeping place - he accepted me sleeping there as long as I was ready to share. And around 8 or so he decided that I had slept enough and now was some time for cuddling. Didn't wash my face, but came up with his nose straight to mine, purring with the volume of a starting jet
It's been indeed quite the experience (a really cute and nice one), especially when you're not used to cats

Back from the vet - what a ride. It's only about a 3min wak from here but apparently the carrier is just so bad it opens up now every time. Bee got out of it and Murkel now too. Luckily I could get him back (before something happens - it's a lively road after all).
No chip - how I expected. And the doc said he's about 2 years old (accordign to his teeth) - who doesn't neuter a 2 year old male cat when it's living inside (even if just for a part)? It's going ot be smelly sooner or later.
I'll make so photos later and will send them to the orphanage and the animal-protectors here (maybe someone will ask).
For now I'll have another cup of tea and wait 'til my arms stop shaking.

That's definitely gonna get smelly... I once had a male cat put his mark on a pair of leather sneakers that I had put outside to lose the scent a pair of shoes gets when it's worn by a teenager every day. The resulting aroma was... um... special

So the little guy (I like the name ) is gonna stay with you for now?

Well - if it was for I'd say so.

he's meowing quite a bit to doors and windows so I guess he must've been at least part-free-roamer (or maybe it's something else). It really is quite small for four people in here (and bee is in diva-mode too, of course.
I really want to eihter find his parents or find a good place for him. It's a mess either way.

He's really cute though.

Yeah, if he's been living outside for a while an enclosed flat might feel a bit small for him now... but if you leave him out he'll probably be gone before you can turn around.

What a night - now that Bee is out of her 'heat' she is even more unamused about it (a lot of growling hissing and meowing - latter from Murkel) through the night. Well - that's having a baby I guess.

Just phones the shelter as well asthe animal protection organization and both were .... unenthusiastically to say the least. The shelter lady was quite impolite and said she woun't put any photo except for the animals they got there up her webpage and the guy fro mthe organization seemd like he really didn't wanted to do anything and as their webpage is kinda broken atm he told me I should go to facebook, heck he didn't evne knew his own mail adress for contact.
What's up with those people ?

Elyris, it's just that I'm really, really go out of my way, trying to find those things or I'd probably go insane sooner or later.

There are so many times I feel so lonely and utterly lost that all I can do is curl up in some corner and cry... and it sure doesn't get better over time. I just try to carry on somehow and find some things that keep me distracted and, yeah, bring a certain amount of fun into my life. Some kind of fuel that keeps me going somehow.

So, thanks - yes, I think I'll have fun there this weekend
