Awwww... I know why I stopped reading the books even before they dreamed of making a TV show out of them - the author's habit of killing off his staff, and usually the ones I liked.

Well ... my contract eds on June 30th, but I got a lot of free days left that I have to take (not that I complain about it). And now I have to 'start' writing my thesis (but first I need to get all the results together). So ...

Yup.
Just came back from the 'Agency for work' - try to reason with those people that just because it is written in your contract that you work half it doesn't equate to actually having half the day 'free' for other stuff. >_>

If they didn't change over the last 15 years then that's hopeless. If you're lucky you have a special "student edition" of people who know how things are in universities or institutes - if not, you're literally doomed.
