They had it over here too, a few weeks ago. Huge accident somewhere on the freeway, people got badly hurt. And instead of helping or simply calling the cops and the medics people did... yes, step out of their cars and take pictures.

Sometimes people suck big time. That makes me sick!

Not only that it is stupid, but also against the law (at least here) that you don't stop and try to help.

Its basically a Felony here to not help, but thanks to abuse in lawsuits, people will chose to not get involved. A little "Damned if you do, and Damned if you don't". Then it came to the point when the good Samaritan could not move the victim unless to not do so would be life threatening. Only trained EMS personnel were allowed to move them.

Yeah, it's against the law here too (not to help). And I think I heard recently that you don't need to be afraid to help - but of course Germans ain't quite as crazy with lawsuits as the US.

(Yet. Give us a few more years, we'll sure catch up.)

Still doesn't justify not calling the police/medics and taking pictures instead.

Oh, EMS was already on the scene. But taking pictures is not respectful.

Where do all those people come from??? Took me almost 2 hours to drive home. For a distance of 18km. On a good day that's a 20 minute drive :gotcha:

Huh, makes one wonder what is the point of building cars which can do well over 300 km/h in a modern society... :D

Faster cars only mean more speeding tickets for cops to hand out and more Grand Theft Auto-inspired crimes.

Annoying: Being bored to death at work, waiting for shoplifters to come and steal. Only one exciting chase during my hours of work. People pulling victim cards about me "following" them. God I hate customers.

Customers are sometimes pain in the a$$ but without them...

Worked in a large hotel, 5-star... Most of clients were nice, but some deserved a punch in the face

First day of work after vacation... first new project: The formal kind I don't like, with 7 different subprojects, with a project leader that has to be some reincarnation of Parker Selfridge - everybody hates him.

I wanna go back to Italy and drown myself in the lake

Take him to Italy, and drown him in the lake. That's a better long term solution.

Dang, the iceberg melted. :omg:

And, Eris paid a visit to the vet for her followup. That's problem is behind us. Now I have to catch up on myself. :omg:

Oh, Flighter, the idea is to permanently get rid of the idiot. Not make it so that he has to excuse himself constantly to run for the throne. Albeit, rather funny. But he still invades to workspace.

Yeah - me (and probabably a whole bunch of my co-workers) would prefer a long-term solution either. Ya know, even if he's stuck in the sanitary department he'd be able to use a phone. And he's one of those "wonderful" people who can annoy people from miles away, just by phone and using e-mail.

But I'd prefer to drown him somewhere else than in that lake. I like that lake, it doesn't deserve to have to cope with that idiot. But there are a lot more different lakes somewhere in the Alps. Some of them looking rather cold and deep - nobody would ever find him there

Oh, and I'm glad to hear that Eris' issues are behind her now :)
About catching up on yourself - ya know my opinion on that...

About the heat: I've read a theory those days that we might get a mini ice age from 2030 to 2040. Just 15 more years to go.

You can drown him in that lake.

Got back to Oklahoma city. Thunderstorms.

What do I do? Schedule a teeth cleaning. Boy, are they going to have a ball. I try to stay away from dentists. Until :waiting: :what: :whatever: ;)

Ugh - don't tell me about dentists. If there's anything that can reduce me to a heap of panic it's a dentist

Well. Got my teeth cleaned :yay: .

Had a tooth that went ballistic with problems. Apparently it slipped down abit, causing pain. Then it got an infection. Well, they had to pull it. Now, while the whole procedure wasn't bad, the next morning, the whole left side of my face is just radiating pain.

Who'd thought losing a tooth could cause such misery.
